What we collect

When you sign up, we collect your email address, your name, your baby's name, and your baby's date of birth. When you reply to our weekly emails, we store your answers.

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the Dear Baby service: sending you weekly questions, storing your answers, and generating your monthly chapters. We do not sell your memories or use them for advertising. Our service providers process information needed to operate Dear Baby.

Your monthly letters

New monthly letters collect your replies in your original words, without sending them to an AI provider. Earlier versions used Google's Gemini API to generate chapters; chapters already created remain saved unless you request deletion.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored securely on Upstash (Redis database) and processed through Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), and Resend (email delivery). All services use encryption in transit and at rest.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.

Your rights

You can request a copy of all your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete everything at any time. Just email hello@dearbaby.email.

Cookies

When enabled, Google Analytics measures visits to our public pages and may use cookies. We do not load it on onboarding, invitation, or account pages. Memory text and email replies are not included in analytics events.
